Leaps of Faith is a free dance ministry for girls ages 7-18 who take regular dance technique classes at ROG (technique classes must be maintained to be part of LOF since the brief LOF time will be used to focus on bible study and learning choreography. There isn’t time to teach technique also). Girls learn how to use their gifts for dance as worship and as outreach as they perform throughout the community.

Outreach

The LOF team performances will focus on reaching out to share God’s love to our community through dance. LOF will perform at nursing homes, United Ways Festival of Trees, and other community events. We are always eager to perform, so if you, your church, or your organization have a gathering at which you’d like us to dance please contact us.

As an outreach to your family and to kids who would not be given the opportunity to take dance classes without financial assistance, we complete monthly fundraisers.

Friendship

One of the most powerful aspects of the LOF ministry that we’ve seen in the past is the relationships the girls develop with one another. The older girls nurture the younger ones, serving as role models in both spiritual growth and in dance. We will have “secret sisters” throughout the fall, a half sleepover in November, Christmas and spring celebrations, and other fellowship opportunities throughout the year.
